DevOps Engineer

Key responsibilities: • Deploy, configure, maintain and upgrade applications and services across multiple Kubernetes clusters and namespaces. • Integrate software components and services delivered by multiple engineering teams into stable and operational environments. • Develop, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable deployments. • Perform end-to-end deployment, configuration and validation of releases across development, integration, test and production-like environments. • Monitor platform health, availability and performance using observability and logging solutions. • Perform rapid root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of application, infrastructure, deployment and networking issues. • Work closely with developers, testers, architects, product owners and project managers to resolve technical challenges and delivery blockers. • Contribute to planning activities by providing effort estimations, technical assessments and deployment strategies. • Automate operational tasks, deployment activities and environment management processes. • Implement and maintain security best practices across platforms, infrastructure and deployment processes. • Support release management activities and ensure platform readiness for testing, demonstrations, customer deliveries and operational activities. • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-enabled engineering and infrastructure capabilities. • Drive continuous improvement of deployment, integration and operational processes. Preferred tools and methods: • Agile, Scrum and Lean methodologies. • DevOps and GitOps practices. • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). • Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Containerization and Cloud-Native principles. • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. • Monitoring, Observability and Incident Management. • Release and Environment Management. • Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC). • Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement. Technical competencies: Platform & Infrastructure • Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux-based environments. • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, administration and operations. • Experience managing multi-cluster and multi-namespace environments. • Strong knowledge of Helm and Kubernetes deployment patterns. • Experience with Docker and containerized applications. CI/CD & Automation • Expertise with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins or equivalent automation platforms. • Strong scripting skills using Python and/or Bash. • Strong knowledge of Git-based development workflows. • Experience with Ansible for deployment and configuration management. • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform. Integration & Troubleshooting • Proven experience integrating distributed systems and software services. • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities across application, platform and infrastructure layers. • Ability to analyze logs, metrics and traces to identify and resolve complex technical issues. • Experience supporting microservice-based architectures. • Strong understanding of deployment dependencies, release processes and environment management. Monitoring & Observability • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch or similar monitoring and logging platforms. • Experience designing dashboards, alerts and operational monitoring solutions. Networking & Security • Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, certificates, ingress controllers and load-balancing concepts. • Experience diagnosing connectivity and service communication issues. • Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security best practices. • Experience managing vulnerabilities, security hardening and secure deployment practices. Additional Assets • Experience working in mission-critical, high-availability or large-scale distributed environments. • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools. • Familiarity with deploying and operating AI/LLM workloads. • Experience with Java/Spring Boot applications is considered an advantage. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines. Education and experience: • Technical Bachelor degree • 5 years of work experience in software engineering • 3 years of work experience in devops domain Languages: • English (very good reading and writing) • French can be a plus
