This policy explains what personal data TechJobsData Inc. ("TechJobsData", "we", "us") collects when you use techjobsdata.com and our API, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in Bulgaria and process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data we collect

  • Account data. When you register we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
  • Job alert data. If you subscribe to job alerts we store the email address, keyword and location you provide, solely to send you those alerts.
  • Usage logs. We log requests to the site and API (IP address, endpoint, timestamp, API key prefix) to monitor performance, enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. Logs are retained for 30 days.
  • Payment data. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details are sent directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we store only your subscription status and Stripe customer reference.

The job listings we display are collected from public job platforms and relate to companies and positions, not to our visitors.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide and secure your account, API keys and subscription.
  • To send job alerts and essential service emails (password resets, billing notices). We do not send marketing email without your consent.
  • To measure and improve the reliability of the site and API.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting requirements.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies

We use first-party cookies that are necessary for the site to function: a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF cookie to protect forms. In addition, third parties described below may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as web beacons or device identifiers) when you visit pages that include their content or advertising. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent login from working.

4. Advertising and Google AdSense

We show advertising on some public pages to keep the job board free. Our advertising partner is Google AdSense. You should know that:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
  • For visitors in the European Economic Area and the UK, ads are served in accordance with your consent choices where required.

5. Data sharing

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run TechJobsData:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google — optional sign-in with Google, and advertising as described above.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery and protection against malicious traffic; Cloudflare processes visitor IP addresses to provide this service.

6. Data retention

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Request logs are kept for 30 days. Billing records are retained as long as tax law requires.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask us to restrict or object to processing; and request a portable copy of the data you gave us. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Bulgaria this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP).

8. Children

TechJobsData is a professional job-search service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, for registered users, announce the change by email or on the dashboard.
