Please ensure it is up to date and checked regularly. --- About the Role This role is responsible for building, operating, and optimizing system infrastructure, setting up automated CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and availability of Buymed’s technology platform. Key Responsibilities 1. Infrastructure & Platform Operations Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure for microservices and distributed systems. Ensure system scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance. Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Operate Kubernetes platforms such as EKS, GKE, or on-premise clusters. 2. CI/CD & Automation Build and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD. Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages. Improve release processes to reduce deployment risks and shorten delivery cycles. 3. Infrastructure as Code & Database Operations Deploy and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. Set up, monitor, back up, and upgrade MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases. Ensure database performance, stability, and data integrity. 4. Monitoring, Security & Incident Response Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent. Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive action planning. Support system security practices, including secrets management and network policies. Key Requirements Work Experience 3–5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, Platform Engineer, or similar role. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent. Practical experience setting up, monitoring, and upgrading MongoDB and PostgreSQL. Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages. Experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP, is preferred. Understanding of system security, secrets management, and network policies. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar. Experience with message queue systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS is a plus. Knowledge of GitOps workflows and Service Mesh tools such as Istio or Linkerd is a plus.
