DevOps Specialist- MES Programme Location: Limerick, Ireland Work Model: Fully Onsite Contract: Initial 12 Months with Strong Extension Potential Role Overview We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to drive engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and delivery infrastructure for a large-scale Manufacturing Execution System (MES) programme within a regulated manufacturing environment. The role will focus on enabling reliable, secure, and compliant delivery by bridging development, operations, quality, and validation teams. Experience with MES platforms, particularly Emerson Syncade, is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for MES deployments across development, testing, and production environments. Manage DevOps tools including source control, build automation, release management, monitoring, and environment provisioning. Implement automation, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management practices. Support MES environment management, including configuration, version control, upgrades, and deployments. Collaborate with development, testing, validation teams, MES vendors, and system integrators. Embed automated testing and quality gates into delivery pipelines. Support CSV activities, change controls, audit trails, and GxP compliance requirements. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and drive continuous improvement. Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities. Essential Requirements Proven experience as a DevOps Lead or Senior DevOps Engineer within enterprise environments. Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Experience managing enterprise application environments, releases, and deployments. Understanding of software delivery lifecycle and change management processes. Experience working in regulated industries such as Pharma, Life Sciences, or Medical Devices. Desirable Experience Hands-on experience with Emerson Syncade / MES platforms including deployment, configuration, patching, and upgrades. Knowledge of GxP, CSV, and GAMP 5 requirements. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SAP, LIMS, historians, and manufacturing integrations. Understanding of OT/IT environments and security practices.
