Staff Java Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, and event-driven architectures. Build and manage workflow orchestration solutions using Temporal, AWS Step Functions, or Flink, ensuring reliable and efficient business process automation. Develop, deploy, and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS leveraging services such as Lambda, S3, IAM, Bedrock, Docker, Kubernetes, and CloudFront, while implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Ensure application security, governance, and compliance by implementing Responsible AI practices, secure coding standards, certificate management, Vault integration, and identity/access controls. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions, implement automated testing, monitor application performance using CloudWatch, Observe, and observability tools, and continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies for innovation. Skills Required 8+ years of experience in backend software development with strong expertise in Java Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, Kafka, and Event Streaming. Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, AWS Step Functions, or Apache Flink for distributed application workflows. Strong proficiency in AWS Cloud services including Bedrock, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFront, along with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, managing Vault, certificate management, automated testing (unit, integration, and UI testing), and application monitoring using CloudWatch, Observe, or similar observability platforms. Solid understanding of security best practices, Responsible AI governance, Agile methodologies, stakeholder collaboration, problem-solving skills, and a passion for adopting emerging AI technologies.
