Responsabilities: Be responsible for the configuration, administration, maintenance and monitoring Windows / Linux server landscapes and virtualization software, both in the cloud and in local data centers. Analyze emerging problems, develop solutions, put together solution concepts (including facilitation of expert teams to find solutions together) and derive a decision-ready (by IT management and/or executive management) project plan from this analysis. Systematically and sustainably document "lessons learned" from such problems and projects and prepare them for training courses. Lead first sub-projects and provide targeted support in larger complex projects. Further develop the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in close cooperation with the development teams (in-house development), i.e. discuss the requirements from the production sites with the IT-DEV team and test them together after implementation. Be co-responsible for the configuration, administration, maintenance and monitoring of complex Windows / Linux server landscapes and virtualization software, both in the cloud and in local data centers. Test and install new software versions (implement in-house developed production software in a production environment (production plants). Requirements : A successfully completed degree in computer science/business informatics or e.g. an apprenticeship (IT system computer scientist/administrator) with many years of work experience in which the necessary skills described below were acquired. 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the area of server administration and network support in an internationally operating company (as communication is exclusively in English and very international). Skills in working with Linux, Windows servers and various scripting languages. First experience with virtualization, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, automation of deployment pipelines (CI/CD). Good knowledge of technologies like MS SQL Server, Mongo DB and Cosmos DB. Basis knowledge about Kubernetes, Azure Arc and other cloud applications. A structured, independent and result-oriented way of working. Very good team skills as well as a customer and service-oriented way of thinking and working. Good written and spoken English skills, German skills are an advantage.
