The work is hands-on and meaningful. You’re designing and running the infrastructure behind systems that actually matter. This isn’t a role where you just maintain pipelines. You’ll shape how things are built, deployed, secured, and improved. What you’ll be doing Design, build and manage secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure Own end-to-end DevOps delivery — from IaC through to deployment and optimisation Build and run CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar) Implement automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible and scripting Work with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and continuously improve performance and reliability Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to remove bottlenecks and improve delivery What you’ll bring Core skills Strong DevOps engineering background across cloud and hybrid environments Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management Experience running CI/CD pipelines end to end Real-world containerisation and Kubernetes experience Technical stack AWS and/or Azure Terraform / CloudFormation Jenkins / GitLab CI Docker / Kubernetes Ansible Prometheus / ELK Git Nice to have Deep Kubernetes experience (cluster lifecycle, scaling, performance) Graph database exposure (Neo4j, Cypher) Experience working in highly secure or regulated environments (ISM, PSPF) Important requirements (read this carefully) You must hold an active TSPV clearance Sponsorship is not available You’ll need to complete ASD’s Organisational Suitability Assessment (includes psych assessment + interview) What’s in it for you Long-term contract (12 months + extensions) Work on genuinely high-impact national security systems Access to complex, modern engineering environments Hybrid setup with some flexibility (role dependent) Diversity & inclusion If you’re good at what you do but don’t tick every single box, it’s still worth applying. Strong engineers rarely fit perfectly on paper. Veterans If you’ve come from Defence or are transitioning out, this kind of environment will feel familiar. Your experience is highly valued here. About Cleared Cleared focuses on connecting talent with roles across Defence, Intelligence, and National Security. We keep it straightforward - real opportunities, properly matched. Apply If you already hold TSPV and want to work on something that actually matters, apply now or reach out for a confidential chat.
