Description

A well-established, mission-driven fintech organization is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) to join its growing technology team. This company is investing heavily in modern platform engineering, cloud automation, and AI-driven development practices to improve software delivery and developer productivity across enterprise-scale financial systems. They are widely recognized as innovators within the fintech space. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role for someone who wants ownership, visibility, and influence. Sitting at the intersection of platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and software development, this position will play a critical role in building internal developer tools, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native platform capabilities that support large-scale engineering teams. This will be a hybrid onsite/remote position located in Denver, Colorado. As such, only candidates local to this area will be considered. The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-focused—someone with software engineering and DevOps experince. General Responsibilities: Champion modernization initiatives by accelerating adoption of cloud-native engineering and AI-assisted development practices. Spend the majority of your time hands-on designing, building, and maintaining platform tooling, APIs, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure frameworks. Develop and maintain internal developer tools and self-service capabilities that streamline onboarding, deployments, provisioning, and operational workflows. Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions and cloud automation frameworks within Azure environments. Support observability and monitoring initiatives through telemetry, dashboards, alerting, and platform visibility improvements. Partner closely with engineering teams to improve developer workflows, platform reliability, and software delivery velocity. Research emerging technologies while mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices. Required Experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production-grade applications and platforms. Hands-on Azure cloud experience, including CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, API Management, Container Apps, or related services. Strong hands-on development experience with C#/.NET, Python, or Typescript/Node.js. Experience building REST APIs, automation services, and scalable cloud-native systems. Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform. Recent experience leveraging Generative AI tools and prompt engineering techniques, including GitHub Copilot. Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design patterns, automated testing, CI/CD, and version control. Familiarity with modern architectural approaches including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven systems, and Agile methodologies.
