Senior Frontend Developer

Position: Senior Front-End Developer Location: 100% Remote Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity Our client is building an AI-powered SaaS platform that helps public safety agencies share mission-critical information in real time. Their cloud-based application replaces outdated communication methods with a modern, intuitive platform that enables faster collaboration, better situational awareness, and improved decision-making. They are seeking a Senior Front-End Developer who enjoys building modern web applications, solving complex user experience challenges, and working in a fast-paced startup environment. This is a highly collaborative role where you'll help shape the frontend architecture, build new product features, and influence the future direction of the platform. What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript. Build intuitive user interfaces for complex, real-time workflows and data-rich applications. Own features from concept through deployment while collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering. Help define frontend architecture, coding standards, component libraries, and state management patterns. Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend applications. Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time data services. Build automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing layers. Optimize application performance, accessibility, and overall user experience. Participate in code reviews and mentor teammates through technical leadership. Leverage modern AI development tools to improve productivity and contribute to AI-powered product capabilities. Required Qualifications 6+ years of professional Front-End Development experience. Expert-level JavaScript and TypeScript experience. Extensive experience building applications with React. Strong understanding of frontend architecture and modern application design. Experience with state management libraries such as Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, Zustand, TanStack Query, or similar. Experience integrating RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and user experience best practices. Experience working within SaaS environments. Comfortable working independently in a startup environment with evolving priorities. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Next.js experience. Experience with WebSockets or other real-time technologies. Experience with component libraries and design systems. Familiarity with frontend schema validation tools such as Zod or Valibot. Experience with accessibility standards, including VPAT. Experience working in B2B SaaS. Experience in regulated industries such as public safety, healthcare, government technology, or financial services. Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar as part of the software development lifecycle.
