About The Opportunity We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Software Engineer III to join our client's team in a contract-to-hire capacity. Important Note: This role requires 3x/week on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) at the headquarters in San Mateo, CA. Responsibilities Front End Development: Architect, build, and maintain high-performance web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Redux, and Node.js. Service Integration: Seamlessly integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs, demonstrating a deep understanding of service-to-service communication. Thought Leadership & Ownership: Act as a proactive technical leader. Take full ownership of your deliverables, identify areas for improvement, and advocate for best practices. AI-Forward Innovation: Leverage and advocate for AI-driven development tools and modern methodologies to improve efficiency and code quality. Continuous Learning: Keep your finger on the pulse of frontend development. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, libraries, and frameworks to ensure our tech stack remains innovative. Required Qualifications Core Tech Stack: Deep, hands-on expertise in JavaScript and React. Supporting Tech: Solid proficiency in Node.js, HTML, CSS, and Redux. Corporate Experience: Proven background successfully working and delivering projects within a structured corporate environment. Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of how to communicate with and consume backend services/APIs. Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. You must be able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Adaptability: Must be a fast learner who can quickly pivot and adapt to new business requirements and technologies. Nice To Have Skills Cloud & APIs: Experience working with AWS and GraphQL. Design Systems: Previous experience working with or building Design Systems. Advanced React: A strong plus for candidates with deep knowledge of React component architecture, mastery of hooks (specifically useEffect and useRef), and a proven track record of creating highly reusable components.
