Python Automation Lead/Architect

Python Automation Remote 4 Months   Professional Services | Data Masking Automation ROLE SUMMARY Hands-on delivery engineer responsible for building the data masking automation that drives the ISR.13 control. Works under the technical direction of the Managing Consultant, participating in discovery sessions and owning the build and validation of the masking automation pipeline that consumes the application data discovery report, maps sensitive columns to the appropriate Informatica IDMC masking technique by data type, and creates and executes masking tasks programmatically via the IDMC REST API. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Participate in data masking discovery sessions alongside the Managing Consultant and client SMEs to confirm scope, the data discovery report format, and the canonical data-type to masking-technique mapping • Build the automation that ingests the application data discovery report and identifies sensitive columns and their data types per schema • Develop the data-type to masking-technique mapping engine that selects the appropriate IDMC technique per column (e.g., Substitution Name, Email address, SSN, Phone) and emits the required mask rule parameters • Create and configure masking tasks programmatically via the IDMC REST API (/api/v2/mttask), replacing the manual job-creation effort • Apply repeatable (seeded) masking so values mask consistently across related tables, preserving referential integrity • Execute masking jobs and monitor status via the IDMC REST API, with retry and exception handling for failed runs • Produce the masking report per run as evidence for the CDO / SDLC release gate • Route exception cases (e.g., unstructured data, unsupported platforms) to a documented manual handling path • Migrate and validate the automation from lab environments to client non-production and production infrastructure • Contribute to operational runbooks and knowledge transfer sessions • Participate in agile ceremonies — stand-ups, sprint demos, and retrospectives REQUIRED SKILLS & MINIMUM EXPERIENCE Skill Min. Years REST API integration (auth, sessions, rate limits, idempotency) 3 Working with structured data and databases (SQL, schemas, data types) 3 Data pipeline / ETL-style development 3 Informatica IDMC / IICS (or comparable data-integration platform) 2 Git / GitOps workflow 3 CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent) 2 Working knowledge of data privacy / PII handling 2 YAML / JSON data modelling 2 Linux / Bash 2 PREFERRED • Prior data masking or test-data-management automation (Informatica, Delphix, or similar) • Experience with the IDMC Secure Agent and dictionary-based substitution (.dic) staging • Experience across multiple database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) • Experience in regulated environments (financial services, GDPR) • Client-facing professional services delivery experience
