About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Systems Administrator with DevOps experience to take ownership of our internal IT infrastructure while supporting the ongoing operation and improvement of our cloud SaaS platform. Working closely with our Cloud Platform Lead (CISO / Architect), you’ll play a key role in maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable systems across both internal and cloud environments. This role is heavily focused on systems administration, operational support, infrastructure management, and internal IT improvement initiatives, while also contributing to cloud operations, automation, and platform enhancement projects. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys managing core infrastructure while applying modern cloud and DevOps practices where they add value. Key Responsibilities Systems Administration & Internal Infrastructure Manage and maintain our internal IT infrastructure, including Dell servers, Dell and Cisco network routers and switches, web service endpoints, and various line of business systems Manage and maintain 2 large Ceph storage arrays (120 OSD each) and large number of Proxmox VM’s. Perform day-to-day administration, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support Lead infrastructure upgrades, patching, system improvements, and maintenance activities Support user access management, backups, device management, and security controls Work closely with the broader IT team to prioritise and deliver operational initiatives Maintain infrastructure reliability, system performance, and technical documentation Assist with IT security compliance for ISO27001 and implementation of best practices Cloud Platform & DevOps Support day-to-day cloud platform operations within Azure Assist with provisioning, deployments, and automation activities Contribute to AWS to Azure migration initiatives Monitor cloud performance, availability, and capacity Support deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation improvements Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce manual workload What We’re Looking For Technical Skills & Experience Strong experience in Systems Administration and internal IT infrastructure Solid Microsoft Azure experience Exposure to AWS environments, particularly migration projects from AWS to Azure Working knowledge of DevOps principles, automation, and deployment processes Experience managing Dell servers, networks, endpoints, and business-critical infrastructure Experience with Ceph and Proxmox. Migrating Vm’s from VMware to Proxmox. Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and security best practices especially relating to Information Security Management and an ISO27001 certified ISMS. Experience using Jira or similar ticketing/project management platforms Working Style & Mindset Comfortable operating across both internal infrastructure and cloud environments Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused Able to work independently and take ownership of operational responsibilities Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Comfortable collaborating with senior technical stakeholders Additional Requirements Must be Brisbane-based and able to work from our Morningside head office Willingness to work flexible hours to support customers across Australia, USA, and UK Please note: This role is available for Australian permanent residents only. Salary: From $125,000 to $160,000 per year (inclusive of superannuation guarantee payment) dependent on your skill level and experience level.
