Staff Site Reliability Engineer Permanent - Excellent Salary + Benefits Dublin, Hybrid My client, a multinational software organisation is on the lookout for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer on a permanent basis in Dublin. The Job: Design, build and optimise highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure. Lead the implementation of observability solutions across monitoring, logging, distributed tracing and alerting. Design and implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to improve platform reliability. Improve infrastructure performance, resilience, security, scalability and cost efficiency. Develop self-service tooling and automation to empower engineering teams. Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD and DevOps best practices. Collaborate with software engineering teams to support large-scale distributed applications. Participate in incident management, troubleshooting and on-call support. Have you: 7+ years' experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering, including 5+ years designing, deploying and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure. Strong experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and Docker. Proven expertise implementing observability solutions across metrics, logging, distributed tracing, APM, alerting, SLOs and SLIs. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation, alongside automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet. Strong CI/CD experience using GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or CircleCI, with scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell and version control using Git. Experience managing cloud networking, IAM, security, disaster recovery, high availability, incident response, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement, with a focus on performance, scalability and cost optimisation. Experience using AI-powered engineering tools to improve development workflows, with database administration, performance tuning or scaling experience considered an advantage. AWS or other relevant cloud certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes) are highly desirable, along with excellent communication, stakeholder management and mentoring skills.
