Senior DevOps engineer

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure cloud environments, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, infrastructure automation, and monitoring solutions. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms while driving DevOps best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure. Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git-based workflows. Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Manage Kubernetes deployments, upgrades, scaling, and application lifecycle using Helm charts. Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible. Implement and manage centralized logging and monitoring solutions using ELK and EFK stacks. Automate operational processes and infrastructure tasks using Python and Bash/Shell scripting. Configure and manage secrets, certificates, and sensitive credentials using HashiCorp Vault. Ensure platform reliability, security, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to streamline software delivery processes. Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis. Establish and enforce DevOps best practices, governance, and security standards. Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity initiatives. Required Skills & Experience Cloud Platform 7+ years of overall IT experience with strong DevOps and Cloud Engineering expertise. Hands-on experience with: Microsoft Azure Azure networking, compute, storage, and security services Azure cloud architecture and operational best practices CI/CD & Source Control Strong experience with: Jenkins Git CI/CD pipeline design and automation Build, release, and deployment management Containerization & Orchestration Extensive experience in: Docker Kubernetes Helm Containerized application deployment and management Kubernetes cluster administration and troubleshooting Configuration Management & Automation Hands-on expertise in: Ansible Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automated provisioning and configuration management Monitoring & Logging Experience implementing and supporting: ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) EFK Stack (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana) Log aggregation, monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding solutions Scripting & Automation Strong scripting skills in: Python Bash/Shell Scripting Ability to automate repetitive operational tasks and workflows.
