Senior DevOps Engineer — Berlin — Permanent — €85,500 A German federal technology company in central Berlin is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer on a permanent contract. This is a private cloud platform built and run in-house. Not a managed public cloud estate. The package €85,592 per annum Permanent, unbefristeter Vertrag — direct employment Up to 31 days home office per quarter 30 days holiday Company pension and vermögenswirksame Leistungen Individual training plus specialist and leadership development programmes Support with childcare and family care Central Berlin, strong public transport links What you will do Design, build and configure CI/CD pipelines and keep deployments running cleanly Implement application and user security with LDAP, SAML2, OIDC and Keycloak Build, operate and maintain Postgres and MariaDB Automate deployments using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize and ArgoCD Deploy and operate GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, Argo Workflows and Superset Run on-premise secrets, password, repository and source code management Work with the Quality team on test automation Take technical ownership of Private Cloud Platform services What you need Computer science degree or Fachinformatiker qualification with comparable practical experience Confident with Kubernetes manifests, Helm and Kustomize Working knowledge of Ansible and Terraform Strong CI/CD experience, particularly Day 2 operations Comfortable in Linux environments Hands-on container orchestration — Kubernetes and OpenShift Agile delivery experience — Scrum or Kanban German at C1 or above, written and spoken Security vetting applies — country of birth must be outside the German Staatenliste restricted list. EU or EEA citizenship is not required.
