DevOps Engineer

DWS is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a high performing technology team delivering critical platforms and services within a large financial services environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives on automation, platform improvement and continuous delivery while working closely with developers, architects, security and operations stakeholders.  Ideal candidates will have substantial experience working within financial services, wealth management, superannuation, banking, insurance, fintech, or other highly regulated environments. Where: Sydney, CBD Type: Permanent Start: ASAP Style: Hybrid; 3 days onsite Salary: Up to $190K package To be successful in this role, you will bring: Strong expertise with Jenkins, GitHub and GitHub Actions Significant experience designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Substantial experience supporting AWS or other cloud platforms Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code including Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tools Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python or .NET technologies Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software delivery practices Experience with release management, deployment automation and environment management Knowledge of monitoring, observability and platform reliability practices Ability to provide operational support, troubleshoot incidents and resolve complex technical issues Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across technical and business teams Commitment to continuous improvement, engineering standards and customer outcomes Highly regarded experience includes: Strong understanding of technology governance, risk and compliance requirements Experience delivering technology solutions within enterprise-scale environments Exposure to secure delivery frameworks and regulatory obligations A strong focus on service reliability, operational excellence and customer outcomes In this role you will help drive platform engineering initiatives, automate delivery processes, improve service reliability, support deployments and contribute to technology uplift programs across a large-scale enterprise environment.
