Location: Hybrid | Experience: 3–5 Years About the Role We are seeking a skilled Python API Developer with hands-on experience in AI-assisted development workflows and the AI Development Lifecycle (AIDLC). You will design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs while leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain production-grade REST APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask) • Integrate AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Kiro, Claude, etc.) into daily workflows • Follow AIDLC practices: structured Inception fi Construction fi Operations phases with proper documentation and audit trails • Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger) • Implement CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews • Optimize API performance, scalability, and security • Design and manage database schemas for both relational and NoSQL datastores Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of professional Python development experience • Strong proficiency in FastAPI or Flask for building RESTful services • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development — prompt engineering, AI code generation, and AI-driven testing • Familiarity with AIDLC methodology — requirement gathering with AI, automated story creation, AI-augmented code reviews • Solid knowledge of Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) — schema design, query optimization, indexing • Working knowledge of NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis) • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases — requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance • Proficiency in Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools • Strong understanding of API security (OAuth2, JWT, input validation) Soft Skills • Excellent communication skills — ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences • Strong logical reasoning and analytical problem-solving abilities • Team player — collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams • Self-motivated with a continuous learning attitude Good to Have • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB) • Experience with async Python (asyncio, HTTPX) • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices patterns • Experience with AI/ML model integration or LLM API consumption What We Offer • Competitive salary and benefits • Flexible hybrid work environment • Access to cutting-edge AI development tools and training • Career growth opportunities in AI-augmented engineering practices We are an equal opportunity employer.
