Senior Front-End Developer - React & Next.js

Founded in 2008, the company operates from eight locations worldwide and has 18+ years of experience delivering high-quality solutions for international clients.   As a Senior Front-End Develope r, you will build scalable, high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. You will collaborate with clients, product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver effective technical solutions, contribute to front-end architecture, integrate APIs, conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and use AI-assisted tools such as Claude to improve development efficiency. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Colombo, offering the opportunity to contribute to long-term projects and grow within an international engineering environment.   Main responsibilities: Build and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications. Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Collaborate with clients, designers, product managers, and backend developers to translate requirements into effective technical solutions. Participate in client presentations, workshops, and technical discussions. Take ownership of front-end architecture and technical decisions. Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote best practices. Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and third-party services. Use AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude, to improve development efficiency and code quality.   Requirements: 5+ years of commercial front-end development experience. Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and modern CSS. Good understanding of front-end architecture, responsive design, performance, and reusable components. Experience with RESTful APIs, Git, JWT/OAuth2, and modern development workflows. Practical experience using Claude or similar AI-assisted development tools. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks to completion.
