Python Backend Developer

A premier AI and Financial Technology client is looking for a skilled developer to join their team. They are building a cutting-edge cloud-native Portfolio Management System from the ground up for a hedge fund, offering an exciting greenfield opportunity. The Role Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI. Build scalable REST APIs for cloud-native financial applications. Integrate with Bloomberg and other third-party market data providers for real-time data ingestion. Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and SQL data models. Deploy and support applications within Microsoft Azure. Collaborate daily with client engineering leads and participate in architecture discussions. What You'll Need 5+ years of backend software development experience. Strong Python programming skills and experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks. Hands-on Bloomberg API integration experience. Strong understanding of backend application architecture and distributed systems. Proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL.
