Key skills: Python, MSSQL, Perl (reading ability), verbal communications Primary Skill Python Secondary Skill Linux Required Qualifications • Strong Python expertise with demonstrated experience building production systems • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs using the OpenAPI 3.0 specification • Experience developing large-scale, back-end applications and microservices • Ability to understand, develop, and maintain complex distributed systems • Experience with Agile development processes and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Git, and Bitbucket • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins and Ansible • Experience with Git-based source control and modern development workflows • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Experience developing across multiple architectural layers (data, application, business) • Experience creating technical documentation and training materials • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams Experience with agentic software development tools; GitHub Copilot experience preferred Desired Qualifications • Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift • Experience contributing to or operating containerized microservices environments • Familiarity with NFS and distributed file system concepts • Experience with Perl (especially for legacy system migration) • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments • Experience with NetApp Network Attached Storage devices • Experience analyzing and reporting on operational data with Oracle SQL and Splunk • Experience developing automation using Ansible
