Mid-Level Developer (Next.js + Node.js)

Sand Console builds and maintains web platforms for clients across Nepal, the UK, and the US. We're looking for a mid-level developer to own features end to end, from API design through to the interface, and stay with them after they go live. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You won't be handed pixel-perfect tickets. You'll be part of deciding how things should work. What you'll do Build and ship features across the stack using Next.js and Node.js Design REST APIs and model the data behind them Work with databases, integrations, and third-party services Deploy, monitor, and debug what you've built in production Review code and give clear, useful feedback to teammates What we're looking for 2 to 4 years of professional experience with Next.js and Node.js Solid React fundamentals, including hooks, state management, and component design Comfortable with SQL or NoSQL databases and writing efficient queries Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and at least one cloud or hosting platform Clear written communication, since remote work depends on it Working with AI tools We expect you to use AI to write code. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, whatever fits your workflow. This isn't a bonus point, it's part of how we work. What we care about is judgment. The developers who get the most out of these tools are the ones who already know what good code looks like, so they can spot when the output is wrong, over-engineered, or quietly insecure. If you can't explain a line you shipped, it shouldn't have shipped.
