Python Developer

My client are a Hedge Fund seeking a Junior Python Engineer for their Paris Office. Principal Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain the team’s infrastructure using Python, alongside in-house tools and technologies such as Git, Airflow, Jenkins, and Podman. Take ownership of data ETL pipelines and data collection processes. Optimise and enhance the performance of the team’s research infrastructure. Conduct data analysis and produce both live and historical analytical reports. Keep up to date with state-of-the-art technologies, tools, technical libraries, and computing practices. Collaborate closely with the SPM and trading teams within a transparent environment, gaining direct exposure to the trading ecosystem. Preferred Technical Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of the Linux operating system, including shell and command-line tools. 2+ years of professional Python programming experience. Experience developing quantitative tools and infrastructure for research. Excellent communication, analytical, and quantitative skills. Preferred Experience 2–3+ years of development experience within a bank, quantitative hedge fund, or similar financial institution.
