Software Engineer - Hedge Fund - London

Attribution Search is partnering with a leading global multi-strategy investment firm looking to hire a Software Engineer into its growing technology function. This is a hands-on engineering role sitting at the intersection of technology, trading and compliance , building systems that support the firm's global regulatory obligations. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and Compliance stakeholders to develop and maintain technology across trade surveillance, regulatory reporting, communication monitoring and trading restrictions , while working with large volumes of order and execution data. A large part of this role will be Greenfield projects, where you will information gather from key stakeholders and then build bespoke systems from scratch! What they’re looking for: 5+ years' professional software engineering experience Strong Python development skills Experience with React / TypeScript, REST APIs and SQL Familiarity with Snowflake, Postgres/MySQL and Git Experience developing and deploying production-quality software Exposure to AWS, Docker and CI/CD would be beneficial Trading systems and order/execution data experience is highly desirable, but not essential This would be a great opportunity for a Software Engineer looking to move closer to the investment business and gain exposure to trading technology and financial markets , while continuing to develop across a modern engineering stack.
