Expert Java Developer

🚀 We're Hiring | Senior Java Developer | Lisbon Are you an experienced Senior Java Developer with a passion for building high-performance, low-latency systems ? We're looking for a talented engineer to join an international team developing a cutting-edge electronic FX trading platform . This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical applications where performance, scalability, and reliability are essential. What you'll do Develop and maintain a high-performance electronic trading platform. Design, build, and optimize low-latency, high-throughput applications. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from technical analysis and design to development, testing, code reviews, and deployment. Collaborate closely with production support teams to ensure smooth releases and platform stability. Contribute to system modernization and refactoring initiatives. Participate in Agile ceremonies and work with business stakeholders throughout the delivery process. Provide third-line production support when required. What we're looking for ✔ 5+ years of software development experience ✔ At least 2 years of experience leading technical teams or mentoring developers ✔ Strong expertise in Java SE and Core Java ✔ Deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency, performance tuning, and JVM internals (Garbage Collection, Memory Model, JIT compilation) ✔ Experience designing and optimizing low-latency, high-load systems ✔ Experience with system refactoring and modernization projects ✔ Good understanding of SDLC and software engineering best practices Nice to have C# / .NET experience Experience with electronic trading platforms or financial systems Knowledge of financial markets and trading products Business Analysis and System Design experience Languages Fluent English (mandatory) What you'll bring Strong leadership and mentoring skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ownership mindset and focus on delivering quality solutions Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment 📍 Location: Lisbon, Portugal If you're looking for a technically challenging role where you can work on high-performance distributed systems and contribute to the evolution of a global trading platform, we'd love to hear from you!
