Lead Software Engineer

Your responsibilities
• Together with two fellow Lead Engineers, you will help lead an engineering organization of around 20 people.
• You will provide technical and functional leadership for a team, with no more than five direct reports.
• You will build robust backend solutions for sophisticated wealth management products and actively shape their architecture.
• You will establish new technical standards and champion high-quality, sustainable software design in a regulated environment.
• You will break down complex business and technical topics into focused workstreams with clear ownership.
• Initially, you will work extensively hands-on in the codebase; over time, the role will develop toward approximately 70% team leadership and 30% technical work.
• You will support your team members’ development and foster a constructive, learning-oriented engineering culture.
• You will strengthen our internal development capacity and help deliver reliable software that supports lasting client relationships.

Your profile
• Several years of backend development experience with Python and Django.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis, together with experience in cloud-based architectures like Microsoft Azure or AWS
• A genuine passion for excellent software design and clean, maintainable solutions.
• Initial or proven experience in technical or functional leadership.
• A genuine interest in financial markets, investing and wealth management, enabling you to understand our users and build a lasting connection with the product.
• A growth mindset, curiosity and the motivation to develop both technically and as a leader.
