We are looking for: Senior Java Developer with expertise in Connex Payment Switch Location: Riverwoods, IL (Hybrid - 3 days/week in-office) Experience Required: 8+ years in Java Development Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-volume applications on the Connex Payment Switch platform. Support transaction processing for credit, debit, ATM, POS, and digital payment channels. Build scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices and integrate switch applications with external banking networks. Handle production support, root cause analysis, and performance optimization for mission-critical systems. Required Experience & Technical Skills Core Tech Stack: Core Java (8/11/17), Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD, Git, Linux/Unix. Domain Expertise: Connex Payment Switch, ISO 8583 messaging standards, EMV, card payments, ATM/POS transaction flows. Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. Nice to Have / Preferred AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or Kafka experience. PCI DSS compliance knowledge and FIS payment products experience. Background in payment switch migration or modernization projects.
