Senior Software Engineer We build the AI platform that franchise headquarters use to coach every location in their network. Think of a national fast food chain, gym, or wax studio — HQ doesn't own the hundreds of locations operating under its name, but it's responsible for the performance of the whole network. Our platform reads everything a brand tracks across its locations and turns it into contextualized, prescriptive guidance: where each location should focus and what to do next. We're a small, fast-moving team based in NYC, working with major multi-unit brands across fast food, fitness, wellness, and home services. The Role We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build the product at the center of it all — from the interfaces coaches and executives use every day, down through the data and systems that turn a brand's complexity into guidance. This is a true generalist role spanning three areas: the product surface (TypeScript/React), the data backbone (integrations, ETL, multi-tenant database design), and the agentic systems that generate the coaching itself (context assembly, tool calling, orchestration). What You'll Do Build the product surface in TypeScript and React — the views where a coach sees prioritized locations, understands why one is flagged, and gets clear next actions. Own components end to end. Build and run the data backbone — integrations, ETL, and database design that turn many systems into clean, queryable truth at real volume across many tenants Work on the agentic systems that generate guidance: context assembly, tool calling, multi-step orchestration, and structured outputs Keep it enterprise-grade — data isolation, access, and correctness handled right Own problems, not tickets — real say over what gets built and how What We're Looking For A strong generalist engineer, comfortable across frontend, backend, and data You've built and shipped product in TypeScript and React — user-facing features you owned end to end You know how data systems actually work: ETL, relational database design, query performance, moving messy real-world data You've shipped enterprise software and understand what SOC 2, privacy, and data isolation mean in practice You've deployed agentic systems in production, not just demos — context assembly, tool/function calling, orchestration, structured outputs, and how these systems fail Product- and business-minded — you can argue why something matters, not just how it's built You've built real things at scale, with real users and real stakes Comfortable operating in ambiguity Strong Pluses Data science depth — causal inference, time-series, experimentation Experience designing APIs or MCP servers built for agent consumption Early engineer at a company that scaled Why This Role Foundational engineering hire — you'll shape both the product and how the team builds it A real product with real customers — well-known brands already running on the platform Varied, hard engineering: frontend, data, enterprise systems, and AI, rarely the same problem two weeks running
