Senior Frontend Developer

What We're Looking For 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 ● 5+ years professional frontend experience, with meaningful time at senior or lead level ● Advanced React — can debug reconciliation, rendering behaviour and concurrent features, not just use them ● Advanced Next.js — App Router vs Pages, Server Components, CSR/SSR/SSG/ISR, caching layers, streaming ● Expert HTML, CSS and TypeScript — strong typing habits and CSS that holds up without a framework propping it up ● Deep browser knowledge — event loop, rendering pipeline, layout and paint, memory behaviour Motion and craft ● Proven experience building highly animated, interactive websites choreographed motion, not just CSS transitions ● Proficiency with GSAP, Framer Motion, Three.js or comparable animation and WebGL libraries ● Hands-on with interaction-heavy UI patterns — drag-and-drop, node graphs, virtualised boards and canvases (dnd-kit, React Flow or similar) ● Genuine Figma-to-production fidelity — spacing, type, easing, timing ● An eye for detail that catches what a designer would have flagged anyway Platform and reusability ● Built reusable, generic component systems that survive contact with multiple teams ● Built UI theming systems from scratch — tokens, theme switching, multi-brand support ● Authored npm libraries or SDKs — API design, versioning, tree-shakeable builds, TypeScript definitions, migration guides ● Comfortable with monorepo tooling and component documentation (Turborepo, Nx, Storybook or equivalent) ● Build complex, stateful interfaces — drag-and-drop kanban boards, visual workflow builders and pipeline views — that stay fast and intuitive as the data grows 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 ● Performance optimization — Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), bundle budgets, code splitting, image and font strategy ● Accessibility — semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management, WCAG AA baseline, reduced-motion support ● Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility as a habit, not an afterthought ● Testing discipline, with a clear view on what's worth testing and what isn't Working with people ● Experience managing or leading a frontend team, or acting as technical anchor on a squad ● Track record of mentoring engineers and improving how a team works ● Strong collaboration with design and product — comfortable in a design review, not just a standup ● Clear written communication — RFCs, architecture notes, documentation 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 ● Portfolio of premium, creative or Awwwards-style work — this weighs heavily ● Open-source contributions, especially to component libraries or developer tooling ● WebGL or shader experience beyond Three.js basics ● Design systems at scale, or a published public design system ● Headless CMS architectures ● Frontend observability — error tracking, RUM, session
