The Opportunity UST is looking for a Software Design & Development Engineer to develop and maintain software solutions supporting Client validation programs. The role focuses on Python-based backend development, API development, automation utilities, CI/CD workflows, database management, software testing, and engineering tool development to improve validation efficiency and operational reliability. Key Roles & Responsibilities Develop and maintain Python-based backend applications, REST APIs, automation utilities, databases, and engineering tools supporting Client validation programs. Implement new software features, enhance existing applications, and resolve software defects. Develop and maintain unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end test cases to ensure software quality. Configure and manage Linux development environments for software development and validation activities. Build and maintain Docker images to support application deployment and development workflows. Develop Flask-based services and maintain scalable backend applications. Design, maintain, and manage PostgreSQL databases supporting engineering applications. Prepare OS images and support software deployment activities. Publish software artifacts and manage software release workflows. Support GitHub/GitLab workflows including source control, code reviews, and collaboration processes. Develop and maintain technical documentation, software guides, and operational procedures. Follow Client software development standards, coding practices, and quality processes. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD automation. Familiarity with cloud, infrastructure automation, or deployment frameworks. Experience with database optimization and backend service scalability. Understanding of software lifecycle management and Agile development practices. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills. Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
