As a Sysadmin / DevOps Engineer, you will help build, maintain, and improve our infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and reliable. You will work on automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure improvements while contributing to the continuous evolution of our DevOps practices. Responsibilities Maintain, upgrade, and patch our servers, operating systems, and software. Automate repetitive operational tasks and infrastructure workflows. Evaluate, deploy, and maintain new technologies to improve our infrastructure and services. Develop and maintain ChatOps integrations to streamline operations. Improve our CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable builds and deployments. Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the R&D team to resolve them. Enhance observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting. Design and maintain high-availability solutions, including redundancy, load balancing, and failover mechanisms. Implement and regularly test backup and disaster recovery procedures. Maintain infrastructure security by applying updates, hardening systems, and managing access controls. Create and maintain infrastructure documentation and operational runbooks. Skills & Qualifications You should have: Experience administering Ubuntu/Linux systems. Working knowledge of Bash scripting and basic PHP scripting. Experience with Docker and containerized/microservice-based architectures. Experience configuring and maintaining web servers such as Apache and Nginx. Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL or MariaDB). A strong understanding of security best practices and a commitment to protecting user privacy. Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Will Be Considered a Plus The following qualifications will be considered an advantage: Comfortable programming in at least one language (e.g., PHP, Go, Python, or Bash). Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Familiarity with GDPR and data protection best practices. A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Experience working in a high-availability production environment.
