Junior Python Developer

Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Python . Write clean, reusable, and maintainable Python code following development standards. Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate with internal/external systems. Work with SQL databases to write queries, stored procedures, and perform data-related operations. Participate in application development, debugging, unit testing, and defect fixing. Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Collaborate with senior developers, business analysts, testers, and other project teams. Support application deployment, troubleshooting, and post-production issues. Follow Agile/Scrum, Git, CI/CD, and software development best practices . Required Skills Minimum 6 months of hands-on development experience in Python . Good understanding of Python programming concepts, OOP, data structures, and exception handling . Basic experience with REST APIs / JSON / HTTP . Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Hands-on experience with Git/version control . Basic understanding of unit testing and debugging . Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Experience in Banking, Fintech, Insurance, or other financial services domain. Exposure to Django, Flask, or FastAPI . Knowledge of Pandas / NumPy is an added advantage. Exposure to Linux/Unix, Docker, CI/CD, or cloud platforms is a plus. Familiarity with financial applications, payments, banking systems, or insurance platforms will be advantageous.
