Full-Stack Developer

Full-Stack Developer (Sales & Distribution Technology) Location: Glasgow Experience: 7+ years A tier-one global investment bank is scaling delivery across its Sales & Distribution Technology function, supporting electronic trading platforms used by sales and trading desks across multiple asset classes. The mission is to engineer resilient, high-performance microservices that power the firm's external API, web, desktop, and mobile trading platforms for clients worldwide. You will join one of several successful teams delivering electronic trading projects, working across the full software development lifecycle from analysis and design through to implementation, and contributing directly to architectural strategy and code quality. Key Responsibilities: Engineer Core Platform Components: Design and develop microservices supporting external API, web, desktop, and mobile trading platforms Drive Technical Strategy: Work with leading web technologies and help shape the team's technical direction Champion Engineering Best Practice: Promote TDD, strong development tooling, and continuous improvements to team productivity Contribute to Architecture & Reviews: Play an active role in architectural design meetings and code reviews Lead Across the SDLC: Support and lead phases of the product lifecycle, including analysis, design, and development Required Skills: Core Technical Stack: Excellent Java skills, including proficiency with concurrent programming Backend Experience: Experience with Spring, web services, and distributed cache technologies Software Engineering Discipline: Experience with Agile and TDD, with a demonstrable ability to meet deadlines and deliver results Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Desirable Skills: Experience with Angular or a comparable modern HTML5 JavaScript framework Front office asset class product knowledge (Equities, FX, Fixed Income, etc.) The mthree Expert Model This role is offered through the mthree Expert Programme.
