Software / Data Engineer - Python (Pandas) - Hedge Fund Orbis are proudly working with a global Hedge Fund who are going through a major technology modernisation initiative to transform how modernising how data flows across the business. They are looking for a Software / Data Engineer with strong Python experience to help build the next generation of their reporting and analytics platform. This is an incredible opportunity to work as part of a high-calibre lean data team owning end-to-end greenfield builds across P&L, data and Trade Reporting. Your key responsibilities in this role will be: Building and owning end-to-end production data systems in Python whilst helping to lead a data technology modernisation initiative Building and extending risk, treasury, trade and position reporting platforms used across the business Designing ETL pipelines and data models converting operational data into clean, trusted reporting layers To be successful in this role, you will need: Extensive experience in both Software and Data Engineering positions using Python including Pandas in a high-performance environment (ideally Hedge Fund, Trading, Big Tech or similar) Excellent ETL development, data modelling and database/schema design Hands-on experience with Clickhouse as well as Postgres, DuckDB, or Snowflake Experience with TDD and CI/CD as standard working practice If you feel your experience is a match with the above, please reply with an up to date CV in the first instance.
