Description

Job Description Location: Bethesda, MD (On-site, Remote eligible) Company: N4 Solutions, LLC Client: National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), Division of Data Integration, Modeling, and Analytics (DIMA) Role: Data Analyst Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement ML, NLP, AI, LLM, and generative AI solutions for grant and portfolio management. Develop and maintain algorithms using NLP and ML methodologies (transformer models, topic modeling, clustering, document embeddings, predictive analytics). Build supervised/unsupervised ML models for portfolio characterization and grant decision-making. Develop and maintain code/pipelines in Python, R, SQL for structured/unstructured data processing. Extract and integrate data from internal databases, APIs, and public sources. Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports for decision support. Support reviewer matching and portfolio analyses via predictive modeling. Document methodologies and workflows for reproducibility and knowledge transfer. Present findings to stakeholders; provide AI/NLP guidance. Required Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biology, or related field. 3-5 years experience in ML, AI, data science, or predictive analytics. Proven experience with ML and NLP methodologies. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R. Strong analytical/problem-solving and communication skills. U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with NIH or other HHS agencies. Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) preferred. Experience with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn). Experience with OpenAI platforms, Azure AI, AWS, or LLMs highly desirable. Tableau or similar visualization tools preferred. Familiarity with scientific research, biomedical data, grants management, or federal government environments.
