Java Developer (Medior/Senior) – Banking Projects

At HexaIO we are primarily looking for strong Medior and Senior Java developers with solid professional expertise in the modern Java ecosystem and microservice-based development for one of our banking clients. It is a strong advantage if you efficiently use AI-based development tools and agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar solutions) on a daily basis, and can apply them productively to support the development process. About The Job Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications and microservices for banking and financial systems. Take part in the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through testing, deployment, and support. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices integrated with core banking and payment systems. Collaborate with business analysts, QA, DevOps, and architects within an Agile team setup. Ensure clean, secure, and well-tested code through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices. Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability in production. Use AI-assisted development tools and agents to increase day-to-day productivity. Requirements At least 4 years of professional experience in Java development Java 8+ Akka, Spring Boot, or J2EE Clean coding practices Conversational level of English Development knowledge of as many of the following technologies as possible: NoSQL, SQL Gradle REST, JSON Docker CI/CD knowledge, Git Nice to Have Knowledge of microservice architecture Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes Maven Experience with Agile development methodologies
