Python Developer

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain data migration scripts, ETL pipelines, and automation workflows using Python • Design, build, and optimize data models for reporting and analytics • Create interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI • Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading between databases, APIs, and enterprise systems • Optimize data processes for speed, reliability, and scalability • Work with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support migration and reporting • Integrate data from multiple sources, including cloud apps, on premises systems, and flat files • Collaborate with business teams to define reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions • Analyze data quality issues, reconcile datasets, and implement best practices for data integrity • Implement automation for recurring data tasks and reporting workflows • Maintain documentation for data processes, source mappings, and migration steps • Participate in architecture, design, and planning sessions for data modernization projects Required Skills & Experience: • Strong hands on experience with Python • Proficiency with Power BI • Experience designing and executing data migration or data conversion projects • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Ingres) • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements • Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) * Experience with Java development • Experience with version control (Git/Subversion) and CI/CD pipelines • Knowledge of Power BI administration, workspaces, gateways, and deployment strategies • Experience with large-scale migration or modernization initiatives Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Strong hands on experience with Python Required 7 Years Proficiency with Power BI Required 5 Years Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Ingres) Required 7 Years • Senior level experience writing optimized SQL queries and analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements Required 7 Years Solid understanding of SOAP/REST APIs, backend architecture, and microservices Required 5 Years Experience designing and executing data migration or data conversion projects Required 7 Years Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance requirements Required 7 Years Familiarity with legacy system migration projects Highly desired 5 Years Experience with large-scale migration or modernization initiatives Highly desired 5 Years Experience with Java development Highly desired 5 Years Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Desired 3 Years Knowledge of Power BI administration, workspaces, gateways, and deployment strategies Desired 3 Years Experience with version control (Git/Subversion) and CI/CD pipelines Desired 3 Years Experience with Perl for scripting, system utilities, or legacy app maintenance Nice to have 3 Years Experience developing/maintaining applications Zope application server Required Experience developing/maintaining Plone CMS applications Required
