Software Engineer

Department: Engineering Function: Oversee the development and operation of embedded and web-based software for web-enabled medical devices. JOB ENVIRONMENT Reports to: CEO Status: Full-time Primary location: Circadiance Headquarters, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania SUCCESS FACTORS Key Performance measure: Timely completion & reliable operation of the embedded and display software. Education requirements: BS degree in computer science or computer engineering Experience: 3 – 5 years experience in IoT web application design, development and launch. Knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, Django, AWS preferred. Skills: Software Requirements, Design, Debugging, Testing & Documentation. Website management. JOB ELEMENTS Oversee the development of Synergy Cloud, an IoT web application that displays medical data. Manage the 3rd party contractor. Oversee development of SmartMonitor embedded firmware. Manage the third-party contractor. Produce appropriate documentation related to design and support activities. Facilitate the launch of the software including roll out to initial customers. Develop the customer implementation process. Integrally involved in developing the user training material. Act as a support liaison between customer service and any design contractors. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
