PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Our partner is a global leader in the domain of clearing, offering access to a wide range of listed instruments on markets across the globe. IT is at the heart of their organization with more than 30 different product teams and 10 different platform teams that are trying to build the best products & services for their customers. Their presence in important financial centers like Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo Hong Kong, London, Sao Paulo, Frankfurt and Iasi, allows them to effectively serve clients worldwide and maintain close proximity to their diverse customer base. THE ROLE INVOLVES: You are going to work in our partner's Financial Reporting team (FIRE), which is a scrum team that consists of high skilled international professionals. The mission of FIRE team is to maintain and optimize the global consolidated statutory and regulatory reporting system landscape via the Finance & Risk Portal (FRP) application. FRP should enable Finance users to report on a cost efficient and automated basis and ensure timely accurate, consistent and complete reporting to our partner and their Regulators. The team aims to also support their global finance applications across the globe, together with the IT colleagues from all different regions. In your role as an experienced Python Engineer will be in the lead and build a new framework to integrate different source applications that hold ledger data, merge and transform the data and feed it to different target systems. Hence, you’ll be responsible for the design, development and implementation of this application and ensuring their performance and reliability on long term. Responsibilities: Design and develop software solutions for applications used by the operational staff. Maintain existing Python applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python. Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing quick and effective resolution. Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and other team activities. Proven knowledge with building automated unit/technical tests to test your code. Proven knowledge of RESTful API (know how to create an API and retrieve data from other API's). TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND: 5+ years of software development experience with Python Solid understanding of Python frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, Flask or Fast API Experience with source control tools like Git Database experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle Proven knowledge of RESTful API (know how to create an API and retrieve data from other API's) Familiarity with Kafka Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines NICE TO HAVE: Knowledge of JavaScript Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker/ Kubernetes Understanding of change management process in general Knowledge of Jenkins, OpenShift, Quay, and Bitbucket are strongly preferred A demonstrated record of achievement in large technical (migration) projects Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles Understanding of financial services and risk management in general University degree in Computer Science/Engineering SOFT SKILLS: Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills Strong engineering instinct (do the right thing), a deep understanding of computer science Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills, great team member Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to keep up with software and cloud development trends and innovation Desire to continuously learn and improve in a complex, rapidly evolving environment WHAT WE HOPE YOU MIGHT ENJOY: Great colleagues, a tech and fun oriented place to work Personal and technical development through courses, training, conferences, and certifications under Levi9 Academy umbrella Udemy for business A delightful book with Bookster Parenting sessions if needed Team buildings (with the company, your project team, or your department) Fun activities with colleagues sharing your passion (Ex: CSR campaigns, Movie Nights, Football, etc.) Meal tickets 21 annual vacation days + 1 extra day every two years Floating holidays Vacation Bonus Medical subscription Hybrid way of working Unlimited access to Levi9 gym
