About The Role As a Software Engineer , you will make an impact by designing, building, and supporting scalable cloud-native platforms and backend services that enable secure, reliable, and high-performing digital solutions. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, DevOps teams, and fellow software engineers to deliver innovative solutions for the Banking and Financial Services industry. In This Role, You Will Design, develop, deploy, and support scalable backend services and cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes. Contribute across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Build and maintain secure, resilient, and highly available microservices architectures leveraging containerization and orchestration technologies. Implement engineering best practices including code reviews, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and infrastructure automation. Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, testing, and solution delivery while applying BFSI domain knowledge to validate outputs and create effective prompts. What you need to have to be considered Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using Java 11+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, JDBC, and Hibernate. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, EC2, and cloud-native architecture patterns. Proven expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, deployment automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support. Experience working with Oracle PL/SQL, SQL databases, and NoSQL technologies in large-scale enterprise environments. Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and experience delivering solutions across all phases of development. Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools for code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, analysis, and productivity improvement. Strong understanding of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) business processes, terminology, data privacy, risk, and regulatory considerations. Experience developing event-driven and API-based solutions using Kafka and cloud messaging technologies. Experience working in Agile delivery environments with strong collaboration and communication skills. Additional eligibility requirements: Candidates must currently reside in the UK. Candidates must be available to start within eight weeks of receiving an offer. These will help you stand out Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar automation tools. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery methodologies. Experience with Helm and Kubernetes deployment management. Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium and Cucumber. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
