About Call Me Sensei Call Me Sensei is a next-gen language learning app powered by AI companions and wrapped in a romantic anime-style mobile experience. Imagine learning Japanese through flirty RPG chats with emotionally intelligent characters. We're building a product at the intersection of AI, games, storytelling, and language edtech — and it's unlike anything on the market. What You'll Be Responsible For Own and build core features in React Native for both iOS and Android Work closely with the design and AI teams to implement rich, interactive experiences Integrate animations, voice features, and AI-generated content with fluid UX Implement mobile-first UI with attention to mobile game-style interactions Collaborate with Unity and AI developers on cross-stack systems (e.g., AI-triggered visual feedback) Maintain high performance and clean architecture as we scale Work autonomously in a fast-moving, async environment Requirements 5–7+ years of front-end or full-stack experience (at least 3+ in React Native) Solid understanding of mobile architecture, state management, and performance tuning Proven experience with AI-assisted development (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) for at least 6 months Fluent in English (written and spoken) Strong understanding of mobile UX principles Ability to debug, ship, and iterate quickly while maintaining clean code Comfortable with async remote work and minimal oversight Bonus Points Experience with Unity (or working alongside Unity teams) Background in mobile game development, visual novels, or story-based apps Interest in anime, gaming culture, or language learning apps Experience working on apps with AI-generated content, TTS, or dialogue engines Work Setup Fully Remote (Asia or US time zones preferred, but flexible) Small, elite team of engineers, artists, AI researchers, and anime lovers Tools: React Native, Expo, GitHub, Notion, Discord, Figma, Firebase, GPT APIs, Unity (for visuals) "Behind every smooth interaction, there is code that makes magic happen."
