Java Developer Backend

📍 Location: Hybrid — flexibility after the first month 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time or Contract — flexible We’re looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a growing and collaborative engineering team. You’ll have the opportunity to work on modern, cloud-based applications , designing secure APIs and scalable microservices that support business-critical solutions. If you enjoy writing clean, reliable code and working with Java, Spring Boot, cloud technologies, and microservices , we’d love to hear from you! The Role & Responsibilities: Design and develop secure, high-performance REST APIs and microservices . Build and optimise SQL and NoSQL databases using Hibernate/JPA. Write clean, reusable, and well-tested Java code. Troubleshoot issues, improve application performance, and support scalability. Work closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. Contribute to cloud-native and serverless solutions. Skills & Experience: 4+ years of commercial experience as a Java Backend Developer. Strong knowledge of Core Java , including OOP, multithreading, and concurrency. Strong experience with Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot . Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices . Experience with AWS Lambda or Azure Functions — essential. Commercial experience using Python for backend development or automation — essential. Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, Hibernate/JPA . Experience with Git and modern development practices. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure .
