Junior DevOps Engineer Location: Orlando, FL – Onsite Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 Base Salary Job Summary Our client, a rapidly growing cybersecurity software company, is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the automation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of critical software and infrastructure systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career DevOps professional looking to gain hands-on experience with CI/CD, cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and cybersecurity-focused environments. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and software developers while building the technical skills needed to grow your DevOps career. Job Responsibilities Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines used for software builds, testing, and deployments. Assist with automating deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management processes. Support on-premises infrastructure, including virtual machines, Docker, and Hyper-V environments. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues. Assist with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef. Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with software development and operations teams to improve deployment processes and DevOps practices. Assist with cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Help maintain system security, reliability, and compliance standards. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive infrastructure and deployment tasks. Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, configurations, processes, and system changes. Learn and apply new DevOps, cloud, automation, and cybersecurity technologies. Qualifications Basic understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems. Familiarity with scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and system administration fundamentals. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced technical environment. Comfortable collaborating with software development, infrastructure, and operations teams. Preferred Experience Git and version control. Docker and containerized applications. Kubernetes and container orchestration. Terraform, Ansible, or Chef. Prometheus and Grafana. ELK Stack or similar logging platforms. Hyper-V and virtual machine environments. Agile development and DevOps methodologies. Cybersecurity or security-focused infrastructure.
