Sr. Java Developer (Microservices)

Responsibilities Role description Conduct analysis on business requirements and prepare technical design Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, support teams to translate business requirements into effective and optimized solutions Design and implement applications using Java Execute unit testing using Junit Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices, and proactively apply them to enhance the development process Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to address performance and scalability issues Work closely with the BA/QA to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets established standards Collaborate with teams in multiple geos / locations Provide updates and status reports during development and related support activities Ensure solutions are based on standards, maintainable, and delivered on schedule Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation Participate in Scrum ceremonies Proactively share accomplishments, knowledge, and lessons within the team Requirements 6+ years of hands-on experience developing Java applications Strong understanding of design patterns, architectural blueprints, UML and application design Experienced with microservices design Experienced with continuous delivery principles: Docker, Kubernetes, and basic DevOps Experienced with database technologies like MS SQL and PostgreSQL Experience in Golang is preferred but not required Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with teams in multiple geos / locations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge about Retail domain preferred Skills Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, Go
