Java Developer

We are looking for a Java Developer to join an NZ-based project, working closely with onshore stakeholders. The role requires strong technical capability in Java technologies along with excellent communication skills to support remote collaboration. Job Description Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java technologies Work on enterprise-level systems using Java EE / Core Java frameworks Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and functions Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including onshore stakeholders Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing systems Job Requirements Must‑Have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in Java Development Strong knowledge of: Java / Core Java Java EE technologies: EJB, JSP, JPA Framework: Spring Hands-on experience with Relational Databases , preferably: Oracle (preferred) MySQL or equivalent is acceptable Strong experience in writing: SQL queries Stored procedures / functions Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments Good English communication skills (mandatory) – able to work directly with onsite teams Nice‑to‑Have Experience with Enterprise Java (e.g., WebLogic) Full-stack exposure (not mandatory), such as Vue.js / React.js / Angular Basic understanding of DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins) About DXC Technology DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) is a leading independent IT services company serving nearly 6,000 clients in 70 countries, delivering end-to-end, next-generation solutions through global expertise and strong partnerships.
