Senior Software Engineer (Web) Hybrid | London | Permanent Are you passionate about building scalable, high-quality web applications that are used across multiple markets? Our client is investing heavily in its digital platforms and is building a brand-new web engineering capability to shape the future of its global online experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer with strong front-end expertise and full-stack capability to play a key role in building modern, scalable digital products from the ground up. Working closely with Product, Design and Engineering, you'll help deliver fast, accessible and maintainable web applications while contributing to the standards, tooling and engineering practices of a growing team. This is far more than a traditional website development role – it's an opportunity to help build a modern web platform that will support customers across multiple international markets. What you'll be doing Designing and building modern web applications using TypeScript, React and Next.js Developing reusable components and contributing to a scalable design system using Storybook Working across APIs, integrations and platform services where required Championing engineering best practice, including automated testing, CI/CD and code quality Collaborating closely with Product and Design to deliver intuitive, high-performing digital experiences Contributing to the evolution of a scalable, multi-market web platform What we're looking for Strong commercial experience building modern web applications Excellent knowledge of TypeScript, React, Next.js and Storybook Experience designing scalable, maintainable front-end architecture Confidence working with APIs and integrations, with the ability to contribute across the stack when needed A passion for clean code, testing and modern software engineering practices Good understanding of web performance, accessibility and SEO Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving Experience with headless CMS platforms, design systems or large-scale digital platforms would be a distinct advantage.
