Senior Quantitative Analyst – Futures & Options (Python Specialist) Location: London (with hybrid flexibility) Salary: £80000 - £100000k Position Type: Permanent The Opportunity On behalf of a leading, high-growth financial technology provider, we are seeking a senior Quantitative Analyst who specializes in Futures & Options and possesses expert-level Python capabilities. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role bridging the gap between cutting-edge data science, product development, and client engagement. Reporting to the Head of Data Science (EMEA & APAC) with a direct line to the Chief Product Officer, you will leverage an award-winning, petabyte-scale data science environment to solve complex quantitative problems, drive key marketing and sales initiatives, and directly influence the firm's product roadmap. Key Responsibilities Python-Driven Analysis: Leverage a petabyte-scale data lake to perform deep-dive analysis, build technical prototypes, and deliver data-driven insights. Client Collaboration: Work closely with external partners, buy-side clients, and key stakeholders to translate complex business needs into robust, reproducible quantitative solutions. Product Evolution: Collaborate with the product team to shape the product roadmap. You will gather client feedback, generate new product ideas, and actively participate in the development cycle. Go-To-Market Impact: Support sales and marketing teams by demonstrating how the product suite solves real-world quantitative challenges, acting as the technical face of the product. Clean Documentation & Delivery: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for all code and methodologies to ensure absolute transparency and reproducibility. Candidate Requirements Essential Experience Academic Background: Minimum of an MSc in a highly quantitative discipline (STEM or Economics). Quantitative Experience: $5+$ years of professional experience working as a Quantitative Analyst in a financial or fintech environment. Futures & Options Expertise: $3+$ years of dedicated experience working with Futures and Options order book market data. Strong familiarity with other derivatives, equities, or fixed income is also required. Advanced Python: Proficiency in Python is critical, including a strong working knowledge of data manipulation and statistical libraries (such as pandas, NumPy, Polars, and scikit-learn). Big Data: Proven experience working with very large, complex datasets under tight deadlines. Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to present and translate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Desirable Experience Experience working on the Buy Side (Hedge Funds, Asset Managers). Familiarity with database management systems like Snowflake or SQL. Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Exposure to other Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages. What’s on Offer?
