Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

About The Role In this role, you will help build and evolve secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver modern cloud solutions, automate infrastructure and operations, and drive platform reliability through DevOps, cloud engineering, and cloud-native practices. As part of a collaborative engineering environment, you will contribute to architecture decisions, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to support business and engineering goals Own platform engineering initiatives that improve reliability, performance, security, and operational efficiency through automation and standardization Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, security specialists, and product stakeholders to deliver resilient cloud solutions and accelerate delivery Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms to streamline software delivery and deployment processes Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent tools, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and governance across environments Design, operate, and optimize containerized platforms and cloud-native workloads running on Kubernetes, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions while supporting incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across distributed systems Contribute to cloud governance, security best practices, cost optimization initiatives, architecture discussions, and technical design reviews to support long-term platform success Requirements Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies Practical experience implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or equivalent tools Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, cloud-native architectures, and modern platform engineering practices Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, security principles, governance frameworks, secrets management, and secure software delivery Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions, as well as automating operational tasks with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application deployment challenges across distributed environments Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, an ownership mindset, experience working in Agile environments, and upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency in a multicultural setting Exposure to multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with Agentic AI solutions or frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar (as an advantage) SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
