Full Stack Developer

Full-Stack Developer - Electronic Trading Technology (Java, Angular, Microservices) We’re hiring a Full-Stack Developer to join a market-leading electronic trading technology team within a global investment bank. You'll work on cutting-edge trading platforms used by front-office sales and trading teams, helping to deliver innovative solutions across web, desktop, mobile, and API-driven channels. This is an opportunity to work within a high-performing engineering environment, building scalable, low-latency applications that directly support business-critical trading activities. You'll collaborate with talented technologists and stakeholders across the full software development lifecycle, from design and architecture through to delivery. What You'll Do Design, develop, and enhance full-stack applications supporting electronic trading platforms Build and maintain Java-based microservices powering web, desktop, mobile, and external API solutions Work closely with front-office stakeholders to deliver high-impact technology solutions Contribute to architectural discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews Champion Agile development, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and engineering best practices Identify opportunities to improve development processes, tooling, and team productivity Support all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, development, and deployment Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience developing enterprise applications in Java Experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems Proficiency with Spring Framework, RESTful web services, and related backend technologies Experience with Angular or another modern JavaScript framework Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD) Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience with distributed caching technologies is beneficial Exposure to front-office trading environments or asset classes such as Equities, FX, or Fixed Income would be advantageous Location Glasgow (Hybrid) Join a technology-driven team delivering next-generation trading solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where engineering excellence and innovation are highly valued.
