Description

This role is with one of Dex's trusted partner companies. We work closely with their teams to truly understand their culture, goals, and what they're looking for, so we can match you with the right opportunity and give you context about the role before you commit to a process. If you're interested sign up to Dex to apply. Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit. The role The fashion industry is broken. Billions of garments end up in landfill, not because they're unwanted, but because the secondhand supply chain is offline and manual. This company is fixing it. They're building the AI-native infrastructure for the global secondhand clothing trade, making pre-owned the first choice. Their proprietary AI grades, prices, and categorises items from a single photo, transforming an opaque market into a structured, searchable inventory layer. Backed by leading VCs, they've saved millions of items from landfill and are tripling in size annually, serving thousands of resellers and retailers globally in a market projected to reach hundreds of billions. You'll join a small, senior product engineering squad, reporting directly to the CTO, focused on user growth and the core consumer experience. This isn't a pure UI role; you'll rebuild critical user journeys from first principles – discovery, buying, seller onboarding, and the mobile app – owning features end-to-end across web (React) and mobile (React Native). You'll run your own experiments, interrogate data, and ship features that directly move activation and revenue, seeing the impact of your code in the numbers the same week. This is a seat for a product engineer who thinks commercially, ships fast, and wants to challenge the status quo, not just implement specs. The work Own user-facing features end-to-end, from problem definition to production, directly impacting GMV, activation, and retention. Rebuild core product experiences across web and mobile, including item discovery, search, and the entire buying flow. Design, build, and analyse growth experiments (A/B tests), using data to inform product decisions and define next steps. Work across React (web) and React Native (mobile), shaping the trajectory of an increasingly critical mobile app. Bridge frontend and backend, reaching into Node.js/TypeScript to extend APIs, improve data layers, and shape underlying systems. What You Bring 3-6 years of experience shipping consumer-facing products at scale, ideally within a marketplace, social platform, or similar consumer tech environment. Strong proficiency in React, with experience or keen interest in React Native for mobile development. Backend capability in Node.js/TypeScript; you're comfortable extending APIs, writing database queries, and understanding system architecture. Data fluency: you can write SQL, set up and interpret experiments, and use metrics to drive product decisions. Based in London and able to work from the office 3-4 days a week.
