Frontend Developer 2 days in London office £62,500 to £77,500 About the role A growing climate tech company is hiring a Frontend Engineer to help build a data-heavy B2B platform used by policymakers, planners, and investors to model energy systems. You'll work on a modern, greenfield React/TypeScript codebase, with real autonomy in a small, ambitious team. Responsibilities Deliver frontend features end-to-end, working closely with product and design to build high-quality user experiences using React and TypeScript Implement complex UI patterns including data tables, filtering workflows, virtualised lists, and interactive data visualisations Apply performance optimisation techniques for large datasets and visualisation-heavy workloads, and help evolve the frontend architecture with reusable, composable components Maintain high code quality through testing, code review, and CI/CD practices Collaborate with backend engineers and contribute technical input during agile planning, refinement, and delivery Requirements 3+ years building production frontend applications with TypeScript and modern React Proven experience building complex, data-heavy UIs — tables, filtering, forms, and interactive visualisations Solid understanding of frontend performance principles: profiling, reducing unnecessary renders, and working efficiently with large datasets Experience with client-side data management patterns (e.g. TanStack Query) and testing Experience building accessible, reusable UI components with modern tooling such as Tailwind
